For years I had the dream of creating a fantasy dance camp. I imagined bringing together like-minded students to immerse ourselves in learning, sharing, and dancing together with inspiring teachers in a magical environment.

After 16 incredible years and more than 35 unforgettable weeklong intensives, Aziza Dreamcamp is evolving—because my dream not only came true, but it was also exceeded! What began as a unique, in-depth dance retreat has grown into one of the most sought-after weeklong events in the bellydance world, known for world-class instruction, detailed service, and a vibrant, supportive community (with dancers returning year after year!). Now, we’re taking the magic on the road with destination Dreamcamps—offering the same excellence in dance, food, and connection, now enhanced by cultural immersion, stunning locations, and unforgettable excursions.

Each Dreamcamp bellydance retreat has a different focus. We will continue to invite the most inspiring and influential master instructors on the workshop circuit, as well as celebrate local, up and coming, and lesser-known dancers that deserve to be experienced. Past invited master instructors include Valerick Molinary, Sharon Kihara, Issam Houshan, Lena Helt, Bozenka, Mercedes Nieto, Azad Khan, Shahrzad, Sadie, and Esmeralda Colabone Technique focus on getting back to the fundamentals of the dance with foundation technique. We work on posture and bodyline, stage presence, fluidity, isolations, improvisation, and combinations. We also delve into the arena of finger cymbals.  During the week we concentrate on a single Oriental choreography, to better understand and explore the nuances of the music and movement and go much deeper than in a one-time workshop. Also included are activities like crafts, games, discussions, excursions, special invited guests, movie night, and free time to round out a full experience.

Spanning over 1,550 square feet, this state-of-the-art studio features a sprung oak platform, wall-to-wall mirrors, and a professional ballet barre—offering everything you’d expect from a beautiful dance training space.

While we are warming up, rehearsing choreography, and diving into creative exploration, this space offers more than just a room. It’s a sanctuary for Dreamcampers—designed to support our technique, inspire our artistry, and elevate every movement.
